I am London Based Stylist and creative consultant, with over 20 years of experience.
I love the challenge of a new project and bring the same passion and enthusiasm to every commission.
I started my career at Manolo Blahnik, where I travelled internationally to work closely with Mr. Blahnik on varied projects from design to Vogue sponsored exhibitions.
I studied Fashion photography and styling at ual and went onto a career at the Observer in fashion, leading onto my own weekly interiors page, 18 page stories and written reviews of major International Interiors events.
While freelance I have styled for many Editorial and commercial clients, enjoying opportunities with diverse briefs. From Interiors designing a town house for a young family in Notting hill to working with jelly for Bompas and Parr.
While taking on the roll as Style Editor and the acting Style Director at the No.1 selling interiors magazine Livingetc, I used my trend forecasting background to oversee and produce exciting beautiful pages. Working with new and established brands.
Testimonials
“Sophie Brown’s eye for detail and her visual sense are unique. We worked together on some projects a few years back, and I was immediately struck by the sophistication of her vision”
Manolo Blahnik
“Here at Livingetc, we have a long relationship with Sophie, from when she was our Acting Style Director and also as a freelance stylist. We love her beautiful eye for colour and pattern and her extensive knowledge of product and interior design, which means she always delivers something magical, above and beyond our expectations”
Suzanne Imre
“I commissioned Sophie to produce countless shoots over a number of years while I was Design Editor of the Telegraph Magazine. Sophie has a great eye, and I could rely on her to come up with interesting, appealing and appropriate ideas for decorating and shopping photoshoots. Just as importantly, however, she was also able to work creatively within the sometimes limited parameters that come with an editorial commission. Sophie is a complete pleasure to work with, and I consider her as one of the industry’s leading interiors stylists”
